Cash-Secured Put Calculator
See how much cash a put ties up, what it pays, and what you would really pay for the stock if you are assigned.
How it works
Selling a cash-secured put pays you a premium now. In exchange, you agree to buy 100 shares per contract at the strike if the stock is below it at expiration, with the cash set aside in advance.
If you are assigned, the premium lowers your cost: effective price = strike − premium. If the stock falls far below that, you own it at a loss, the same as any buyer.
